Words to Lose

Much of the communication that comes out of government institutions reads and sounds like it was written by a committee of Baptist coroners. I’ve been reminded of that because I’ve filled my outside recycling container several times in the past few weeks – cleaning out old client documents and files and stuff that I just need to get rid of to make room for more stuff that I can get rid of next year. (It’s a system.) The start of the New Year is a great time to purge and, by coincidence, Lake Superior State University (Go Lakers!!!) just produced its annual list of overused, cliched, annoying words and phrases that they think we should be getting rid of. They get nominations from all over, so see if you agree that these are the best of the worst.
