For more than three decades, we’ve talked about how critical trust and credibility is, especially in the public sector. And for more than three decades, that conversation has often been met with a lot of yawning and disinterest. Public sector manager/clients figured it wasn’t as if their school board or planning department might go out of business for lack of customers – government is kind of a guaranteed gig and stable employment – so why worry? Few public servants seemed concerned. No one seems to know the origin of the quote when the student is ready, the teacher appears, but it looks like the student is ready.
